hello everyone! it's been a long time! sorry..if I was not able to update this site..I was really busy lately, but anyway..I hope you all are okay. I heard that simple plan right now, don't have many gigs as they have before since they are on the process on making their 3rd album!! yay! and pierre said on his blog that we have to expect a little change on their music, they are trying a lot of stuff..but still we can hear some songs on their new album..which is like the "OLD SIMPLE PLAN STUFF" songs..we heard from their past albums! NEWS UPDATE!!
hello SP invaders!! it's been a long time! and still, Simple Plan Invasion Crew Philippines is still alive! in fact, I heard from Geline that we are already multiplying!! yey! Go Forth and multiply! Please tell your friends or someone you know who is also a fan of simple plan to come and join us! Remember? The more the merrier!


Anyway, I'm sorry, again that our Simple plan invasion crew philippines forum is already expired and was deleted automatically since there were no noew posts in the forum for 10 consecutive days, this is the third time that happened,so, as of now, I decided to not relive it again. I totally understand that most of us are too busy posting in the forum, since this season..is SCHOOL SEASON- meaning all of us spend most of our time in our schools, also me, I'm very busy now that I'm in college already ;)


You may have heard from dk, about,my cousin going to the show of Simple Plan in New Zealand last month, and yeah, my cousin gave me this cd signed by the one and only SIMPLE PLAN! she sent it to me as response to my request..and I'm gonna share it to you all guys! What's up! Long time no update! Geline here..as you can see I haven't been updating in for MONTHS...yup *months* haha...sorry I was too lazy to make new updates..anywayz, I still love Simple Plan, it's just that I became busy with my summer vacation. I had lots of activities..well, nuff about me. Move on to the real deal! :P

Hmm..it looks like SP on a vacation for a while. I looked up the tourdates and it seems that they halted the schedules at the start of September. Well, happy vacation SP! ü

What else! Ahh...Finally! We reached Member list page # 3...*tears* I can't believe this guys...we're 43 members and still growing! Now, I urge you guys to recruit!! Okeii...so that in the next SP concert here in the Phil, we can be like a swarm of invaders for SP! Hahaha...go IC Phil!:D

What a Year!

we just received an e-mail from giselle.. she says that we can not fully access our forum cause she's still fixing it cause things got really hectic for her so she deleted it cause she couldnt maintain it anymore. What's Up IC Philippines?
It's been a while, but I think our site is slowly making its progress. Up for the member count, we have 34 members! Yehey! And please for those who don't have an IC screen name I encourage you to have one please!

And finally for the first time in months, we already have the affiliates section! Go ahead and check various SP fansites from all across the globe.

SP Update: I know this is old news but I'd like you to know that SP just released their live album (SIMPLE PLAN LIVE)! I think it's available in selected local stores. I prefer purchasing them in record companies(ex. Tower Records), rather than retail shops! Pero if you can find them, edi ayos!

woah...it's been a long time since I've updated but I'm really sorry guys..next week is our "finals week" and I only update IF there's a new member.

okay so MEMBER'S update!!...we are 31 so far! Good Job guys! *hi5* :^)..well so anyway I don't know anything about Simple Plan nowadays...but I just heard some news weeks ago...

I HEARD THAT PIERRE WAS HIT BY A BOTTLE IN HIS EYE!! That's horrible...then to one who did that, I hope you're happy now! I can't believe immature people like you can do things like these to harm the band. You can go solve your attention-related issues by having some friends...I mean paying fifty bucks for a concert then afterwards hitting the lead singer with a bottle is utter stupidity!

so..sa tingin ko mag-aantay nalang tayo hanggang magkaroon ng update ang SP sa tours nila here in Asia...mainly the reasons why their tours here are taking long is because of the terrorist attacks especially here in SE Asia. I hope those people will just stop doing these things because everybody is going to be affected by what they're doing. I mean, it's not just us who's going to suffer the consequences, it's the whole nation...considering opportunities of other people (and Simple Plan) going here! So yun nga. Sana tumigil na....

Punk. It may be the most adaptable four-letter word in the modern musician's vocabulary. Between the Clash's Know Your Rights and Blink 182's Show Us Your Boobies lies the broadest pigeonhole known to rock'n'roll.

It's universally accepted that Iggy Pop's scarred chest smeared with peanut butter was punk.

The Ramones' 90-second garage rock nuggets were punk

The Sex Pistols swearing on television was punk.

The Dead Kennedys' California Uber Alles was punk.

But fast forward to Canada's Simple Plan, now offering fans a personalised Mastercard. We're either talking about a radical post-modern redefinition of the term here, or a flagrant perversion of punk ideology.

If punk is "the fight against complacency," as film-maker Jim Jarmusch declares early in Don Letts's allegedly definitive documentary, Punk: Attitude, Simple Plan's Jeff Stinco strikes a contentious pose from his laid-back position in Montreal.

"I gotta tell you, it's an awesome day here," he gloats.
"I spent my whole day just chilling on the main street, drinking beer and watching the girls. It's great."

A multi-platinum major label concern, Simple Plan is one of the most successful "punk-pop" bands of recent years. Like practically every band labelled punk in the last 35 years, Stinco doesn't identify himself as such.

"I think punk is an era in rock'n'roll," he says. "I'm not even sure it's a genre. We're not making any statements, not even fashion statements - like the Sex Pistols were.

"I mean, I have respect for them and the Clash but they weren't my early influences. The bands that got me were bands like Face to Face, Lagwagon, No Use For a Name, Strung Out," - all sound-alike hardcore skateboard enthusiasts that cranked up amps in sunny California in the '80s.

"As a teenager I was pretty rebellious. I needed some kind of outlet for my anger and my frustration and those bands seemed to express those feelings in very easy-to-understand words and straight-to-the-point music. The simplicity and the intensity of it was fascinating to me."

Stinco talks with equal enthusiasm about his band's involvement with the Make Poverty History campaign and the new Simple Plan cash card. Dude, it's totally a Mastercard with the band's picture on it.

"It's a concept that allows young people to get used to using a credit card," Stinco explains. "Their parents fill them up with money and hopefully it teaches them how to spend wisely. The coolest thing is people get to have their favourite band on their card. It's personalised, so it's another way for them to express their identity."

I just went to the GC Concert last July 8 at Folk arts! And what can I say? Ang gagaling nila magperform...hopefully they will be touring here with Simple Plan...or with Greenday...any combination will do as long as they are with Simple Plan!

And meron na tayong sariling Friendster account..it's called "Pinoy Invaders" I think it's a good way to reach out to more fans...and if you're interested in helping them out, post it in your bulletin! OKAY!! So...no IC Phils is not abandoned, I'm just heck-of-a-busy(with school)
WOOOOTT!! Go!! SP's been #1 for a long time now...and I'm really proud of the efforts we made...and that's really CRAZY!! "Crazy" is on the charts even when there's no single release yet? It's just wow. The progress. It's too overwhelming (I think I'm about to cry)!! ='( LOL...so anyways, I'm going to put up pictures(March 31 event), but unfortunately, that freewebs thingy won't allow me to store more than fifty files and that's it. No more files...I think I'm going to put it up somewhere...some free gallery thing (with no ads of course!!) hey! gia here with the chart updates again.. anyway, SIMPLE PLAN IS NUMBER ONE ON THE MYX WEEKLY CHART! YEAH!!! that is so cool. they beat MYMP and BSB. hey guys! gia here. anyway, SP's "untitled" dropped to number 2 in the MYX weekly chart. BSB got the number one spot from them. in the TRL weekly chart, SP's "untitled" was on number 8. it needs at least 2-3 more weeks 'till it retires. so lets go to mtv.com and vote for it on TRL. let's make Chuck's dream come true! =)

charts update
hey guys! SP has been topping the MYX hit charts on and off. The BSB (backstreet boys) keep on being a threat on the charts. I also think the "Untitled" has a chance to retire on the TRL charts. Chuck has wanted one of their songs to retire on the TRL charts for so long already, maybe Untitled will be the one to retire? anyway, to vote on TRL go to mtv.com and vote. for the MYX charts, text MYX VOTE UNTITLED to 2366. :) till next! -->gia<--

New webmistress...
Say hello to Gia, our new webmistress, she will be helping me update the site (in terms of HTML and graphics, and maybe some updates too) since I'm going to be heck-a-busy with school. I gave her access to the site and the news and updates section...feel free to contact her! The join form is now up (because I can't wait for 3 more days >:C ) You have to fill out every field that has a (*) on it. Okay!! So that way I'll be able to put content in the members area..don't forget to read the rules before joining...it's really important. Not reading it will result to filling out the form with blank spaces! You don't want unanswered fields don't you??

I removed the Inline Frames
I noticed some of you can't see it on your browser so I removed the frames (that was hard work) and manually placed the Header and links on every page. Give me a pat on the back that was hard! Lol!! :D Para sa inyo to at sa SP! More content coming soon...media will be up when I have recorded the video of the March 31st concert...okay! bye for now.:)

Forms will be up in 4 days or so....this is the third day since my sign-up in Freewebs so that should be up in 4 days I'm sure!:D

The IC Philippines is up and running!
Pinoy Invaders is up and running! You can see that there is barely any content on this site, this is because I only made it yesterday and whew! I had a problem with the commenting system...thank God I was able to put it back on! =) Hopefully sonner or later we will have more content on this site send me in your suggestions in the Invasion Crew Message board under "Your Life" section right in the SP Pinoy thread. Keep sending your profiles to Giselle (gzel28@yahoo.com) or to me (pinoyinvaders@yahoo.com) either way Giselle can forward it to me so that I can update the Members section.
